A New Year’s Craft — Party Streamers
Do you need a festive craft that will get your children excited for the New Year to arrive? People celebrate the coming of the New Year in different ways; some people might throw New Year’s Eve parties, have dinner gatherings, or small family celebrations. Whatever you do to ring in the New Year, here is a New Year’s craft that will be sure to get your kids excited for 2013. Follow the directions below to create festive New Year’s streamers that will impress party guests and get kids involved in an interactive craft!
Materials you will need
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- String or ribbon
- Glitter, stickers, paint, glue, etc.
Directions
- Cut out circles, squares, and triangles in varying sizes. You can choose to cut out any shape you wish. The aim is to have a gradient of sizes along your streamer string, from biggest on top to the smallest at the bottom.
- Punch holes at the tops and bottoms of the shapes. However, only punch a hole at the top of the last, smallest shape.
- Decorate your shapes with stickers, glitter, and other decorative items.
- Once you have decorated your shapes, string the shapes together according to size, as demonstrated by the photo below.
- Hang up your decorations around the house and enjoy the festive feel they give to your home!
