Must-See Family Movie for Summer – HTTYD 2!
On June 13th, DreamWorks Animation releases the highly anticipated sequel to its award-winning animated movie, How to Train Your Dragon! For those of you who don’t already know the details, ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ hits theatres four years after the original, taking fans back to the exotic Viking island of Berk during a period when dragons roamed the lands and ruled the skies. Wondering whether this movie will live up to the hype and please the family? If movie critics’ reviews are anything to go by, it most certainly will! Characters – These are the same Vikings and dragons that your kids have been raving about ever since they saw ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, so you really don’t need to hesitate before buying them tickets to spend two more hours with their animated heroes. Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly and the rest of the gang are back, all five years older than they were in the first movie. Dragons – These magnificent, winged, fire-breathing beasts have always fascinated their audiences, and ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ lets you explore the dragon world like never before. Many new species are introduced, with every Viking on Berk having their own dragon pet. Further, a secret dragon sanctuary and a mysterious dragon expert are presented in the movie, introducing Hiccup to hundreds of new dragon species and many dragon secrets. Animation – DreamWorks has used the latest advancements in animation technology to make the characters and settings look as realistic as possible. The flight sequences are reportedly spectacular, giving audiences a feel of what it would be like to soar through the skies on the back of a dragon.
Dragon racing tournaments, a full-scale war and a giant dragon battle look all the more impressive with the superior 3D effects. One more reason you must catch this movie on the big screen, in 3D.
