Online Game Issues Answers

The online game is not loading correctly or seems to freeze during play. What should I do?

  • Make sure you are running the latest version of the game and that all the system requirements are being met. For more assistance, contact us at: support@jumpstart.com

I am having trouble downloading the game. What should I do?

  • First make sure you are logged in as the admin user on the PC, so restart the PC and when it restarts just log in on the admin account.

    You also want to check the system tray in the bottom right and see if any other programs are trying to update or if there are any windows updates for the PC. If there are, get the updates taken care of and restart the PC. Once it has restarted check for updates again, we need to make sure there are none left.

    If you are running firewall/security software you will need to set your firewall to allow the following: WorldOfJS-windows-installer.exe, JSK.exe, JS1.exe or JS2.exe (depending on the game you are trying to run). You would want to restart the PC again after making any changes to your firewall and then try the program again after the restart.

I can hear the game but the screen is black. What should I do?

  • Set the program up in compatibility mode.
    1. Right click on the launch icon and select "Open File Location"
    2. The root folder will open and the launch icon will be highlighted already, right-click this icon and select "Properties"
    3. At the tabs at the top select "Compatibility"
    4. Check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
    5. In the drop down menu below that, please select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)"
    6. At the bottom, check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator"
    7. Click "Apply"
    8. Click "OK"
    9. Close all the open windows and try launching the game from the desktop

I have downloaded Jumpstart 3D Virtual World but the usernames are missing. What should I do?

  • Please contact our customer support team so that the usernames can be added. You can add up to 6.

I receive an error when attempting to use the Forgot Password option. What should I do?

  • Your account needs to be reset. Please contact our Customer Support team.

What are the system requirements to play World of JumpStart?

  • For both PC and Mac, the game requires:
    • 1.5Mbps broadband connection
    • 1GB system memory

    • In addition, on a Mac, the game requires OS X 10.3.9 or newer

Is MMO Safe?

  • YES, player interaction in JumpStart is completely safe. There are two modes of chat, both of which are designed to keep your child safe. Safe Menu Chat allows players to communicate using only a limited list of questions, answers, greetings, and phrases preselected by JumpStart. This is our default and most restricted mode of chat. Safe Type Chat allows players to type in and send their own messages, as long as all parts of these messages appear in our database of approved words and phrases. This mode must be activated by a parent. Please note: Safety is our top priority at JumpStart.com, and we are constantly improving and evolving our chat database, but messages that may be offensive to some players may get through the filters in Safe Type Chat Mode. Since parents know their kids best, we ask that you select the perfect level of interaction for your child.

Can I turn this feature (MMO) on and off?

  • YES, once you are logged-in, under the Parents section of JumpStart.com, there is a Manage Kids button that allows you to enable or disable MMO and Safe Type Chat for each child on your account separately.

Can I turn off the display name above my Jumpeez head? Can I turn off the name for other Jumpeez heads?

  • YES, click on the yellow ‘options’ button located in the bottom left head corner in the game. At the bottom there is a ‘Display Names’ section which allows you to enable or disable the names above the Jumpeez heads for your Jumpee or all other Jumpeez in the game.
