Unscramble Short Vowels

Unscramble Short Vowels - Reading Worksheet for Kindergarten

Unscramble Short Vowels

Knowledge of long vowel sounds and short vowel sounds is imperative to identifying vowel sounds in different words. Sometimes vowels are pronounced like their names, examples being ape, ice, eat and oak. These are called long vowel sounds. When vowels are not pronounced like their names, for example sack, nest and mop, they are called short vowels.

‘Unscramble Short Vowels’ is a free phonics worksheet that requires kids to identify images and unscramble their names to spell them correctly. In the process, kids learn the right spelling and the right way of pronouncing the words.
