Uncle Sam Door Hanger
This 4th of July, decorate your home with this figure of the birthday boy himself!
What you will need:
- Seven craft sticks
- Red, white and blue paint
- Pencil
- Glue
- Cotton/white pom poms
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Black marker
- Red/white/blue ribbon
Instructions:
- Line six craft sticks vertically with one craft stick horizontally across them, as in the picture.
- Draw a line marking the upper edge of the craft stick.
- Paint three of the craft sticks white and three of them red, stopping just above the line you drew. Paint the seventh craft stick entirely red.
- Once the paint dries, draw a second line a little above and parallel to the first line.
- Paint the area between these two lines blue.
- Glue the red craft stick horizontally across the other six craft sticks just where the blue band ends.
- Glue wads of cotton along the outer edge of the unpainted craft sticks.
- Add eyes and a nose.
- Cut a 5" piece of ribbon, loop it and stick it behind the door hanging.
Your Uncle Sam door hanger is now ready!
