The study and practice of making maps is called cartography. It’s an interesting choice of profession that allows pursuers to be both creative and theoretical. It’s from an early age – middle school – that kids need to develop the affinity for such a unique profession. This geography activity helps kids grow an interest in the age-long geography discipline. To start with, kids need to understand the layout of their homes and draw a map to trace it out. Following that they will have to understand how the layout could have been made better.
