iParenting Media Awards - Outstanding Product 2008
iParenting Media announced the winners of the iParenting Media Awards Outstanding Products of 2008, including items ranging from high-tech toys, safety gear and educational software to helpful books, audio CDs and Web sites. Award-winning products were selected based on their fun value, product quality, ease of use, play duration, educational nature and uniqueness, among other criteria.
Key winners include: JumpStart Advanced Preschool World Premium Edition, a software program that utilizes 3D Virtual World adventure-based learning games, DVDs, workbooks and audio CDs to help kids build skills in reading, math and critical thinking.
"We are proud to be a trusted source of information for parents on today's products through the 2008 Outstanding Award winners," said Alvin All, Director and General Manager of iParenting Media. "Over the last decade the iParenting Media Awards have continued to grow as a valuable resource by recognizing some of the best products available to families."
Hundreds of products were submitted for judging in 20 categories. All products submitted for the iParenting Media Awards Outstanding Products of 2008 underwent a thorough evaluation process that has ISO 9001:2000 Certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO is the world's largest developer of standardization regulations, and ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized standard of quality assurance.
To be considered for an iParenting Media Award, companies submitted four identical samples of each product that were precisely matched using iParenting's state-of-the-art technology to experienced reviewers within iParenting's database. Products were thoroughly reviewed and evaluated by a variety of sources including experts and families. Results were compiled and submitted to the iParenting Media Executive Committee for final approval.
