Hi,
my kids play on multiple PC's. Is there any way to save their games to a flash drive and install from one PC to the other? Or are their saved games kept online instead of on their PC?
Thanks,
Lisa

Yes you can move the records folder to a new PC to keep there progress.

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;}

To find the user records please go to the following location on your hard drive.

(While working in these folders size them so you can still see some of the desktop behind the folder, that way you can drag an item onto the desktop from an active folder)

If you are running XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Knowledge Adventure

If you do not see the “Application Data” folder inside the “All users” folder please follow the instructions below to make it visible.

1.         Along the top of the screen there will be a “Tools” button.

2.         Click on Tools and select “Folder Options”

3.         A pop up window will appear called “Folder Options”, click on the second tab from the

            left called “View”

4.         The second folder in the list says “Hidden files and folders”

5.         Select – Show hidden files and folders, then click apply.

If you are running Vista please go to the following location:

ProgramData\Knowledge Adventure

If you do not see the “ProgramData” folder please follow the instructions below to make it visible.

1.         Please double click on the "Control Panel" located in the start menu.

2. On the left hand side of the control panel there will be a bold text

that says "Classic View" click on this.

3. Now you should see an icon titled "Folder Options", click on this.

4. There will be 3 tabs across the top: General, View and Search. Now

click on the View tab.

5. The second folder down in the list says "Hidden files and Folders"

6. Check the circle next to "Show hidden files and folders" then click

Apply.

Inside the Knowledge Adventure folder there will be a “JumpStart World Records” folder. Right click on this folder and drag it to the desktop  -  choose Copy Here.  Move this folder to the new computer by which ever method you want, such as a memory stick or even an mp3 player. Place this JumpStart World Records folder onto the desktop of the new computer.

On the new computer go to:

XP  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Knowledge Adventure.

Vista  C:\ProgramData\Knowledge Adventure

Once inside the Knowledge Adventure folder delete any JumpStart World Records folder that may be in there. Then drag the JumpStart World Records folder from the desktop into the Knowledge Adventure folder. There should be only one JumpStart World Records folder in the Knowledge Adventure folder.

One more thing to do:

Open up the JumpStart World Records folder, and locate a folder called KAUGlobalUser

Open up this folder and double click on the Products folder. Open up the JS World (Grade) folder and delete the “Downloads” File.

Now go back 2 folders to the User folder. Open up the User folder and delete the “JSWorldDownloads’ file.

Launch the game. It will start updating the files the game needs. You may have to restart the game multiple times to get all the files to extract.
