Attempting Terza Rima

Terza rima was invented by the Italian poet Dante Alighieri in the 13th century. It consists of a series of three-line stanzas known as tercets. The rhyme scheme followed by a terza rima is aba bcb cdc ded and so on. Terza rimas, however, are ended with a single line. For example, if the last stanza is in the ded rhyme scheme, a line with rhyme e is added to conclude the poem.
