Hi

I am stuck at the swimming race.  I have raced every scout.  I have now tried over 50 heats and have only won 1.  I swim very fast when I am in the pond by the campground, but slow down significantly anytime I get near the race area.

The races are not even close.  I am just getting out of the first stretch of water when my opponent is finishing the race.

I think I was recently told I won a mask.  I have not seen any evidence of having one.

I think this might be a frame rate issue.  Try this fix first, if it doesn't help, email me directly at mike.bowman@adventure.com as I have to send you a different fix.

Thanks you for contacting Technical support for JumpStart World, this issue is performance related and we will need to make a couple of changes to lower the setting of the game, to do this follow the directions below.

For Windows XP Go to “My Computer”

For Windows Vista Go to “Computer”

1)      Open your Hard drive (C

2)      Open the folder “Program Files”

3)      Open the folder “jumpstart World”

4)      Open the folder “JsworldX” (X represents your grade, 1g = 1st grade, 2g = 2nd grade, ect..)

5)      In here find the file “JSWorldX” (X represents your grade, 1g = 1st grade, 2g = 2nd grade, ect..)

6)      Open this file it is a text file that opens in notepad, look for the following Lines:

7)      DisableLayerTexture=0, DisableLights=0, DisableShadows=0

      Change the 0 in each one of these to a 1 then save the file

9)      Once the file is saved close the window’s and start the game again
