I debate for a week if this product was worth the $30. In the past I have used Jump Start educational games and was really impressed. We just got a new computer and the old ones wouldn’t work right. I read and reread the 1st grade package finally decided to buy because I needed to find less online activities for my 1st grader. We have a limited monthly allotment because of wireless. Get home to find that the game won’t install without internet. So I get online for that only to have problems with your system that it wouldn’t let me install. After trying again and three times the next day and finally calling customer service to find they didn’t know how to help. And at the same time I talking to them the system finally works. And then comes the next big surprise a membership is required. I live in MT with limited access to internet and don’t always have access to internet. So what am I supposed to do with this product that requires me to log onto internet every time I use it. Overall what I have seen so far is pretty impressive with the game but needing to be a paying member to a game I just spent $30 on is a little much to be asking parents. Personally if I pay for the game in store there should be free membership to what I purchased. Also stating clearly that internet connection is required for every use on the front of the package along with stating there is additional membership fees, would be a great help. And what little I have used online is so slow and cumbersome that it eats up my monthly allotment that I can’t use my internet for what I need to. I was also thinking of buying a preschool Jump Start but after these hassles, I think it time to look for a new product.

In the system requirements we outlined in red letters that a high speed connection was needed.

As I have said elsewhere on this board, we could have done a better job of explaining that this was basically a membership title. The content we offer out of the box is far more than we have offered in the past. If you would like a free month to try it out, just email me directly your account info and I will give you a free month.  I believe in this title that most folks who see all that is offered, remember you can play 4 games, as well as the online game, and have up to 6 players in the virtual world games with multiple installs, it sells itself.
