If you're willing to have a more casual Thanksgiving...

What about making construction paper pilgrim and indian hats for everyone to wear around the dinner table? Indian hats can be a strip of paper taped into a circle and worn across the forehead. Then, draw and cut out some "feathers" to push in the back. For the pilgrins, cut a headband strip out of black, then glue a square of paper to the front center. Add a yellow square to the front for the buckle.

We did this a few years back for Thanksgiving and it was hilarious.

I am so excited to try out the leaf placemats! My younger cousins are coming over for thanksgiving and I know they'll get a kick out this project!

Thanks! I'll let you know how it goes!
