My daughter has completed all the knowledge games for level 2.  She has completed her second key.  Her comunicator is telling her to ask a parent to become a member.  I do not want to become a member at this time, I do want them to be able to play the game I bought, which should have all 12 levels avaiable to them.  How do we get to level 3?

I have just found your FAQ regarding purchasing additional content for the Trouble in Town game. I can find nothing on the packaging to indicate that what I purchased was not the complete game but a demo for a game. This is a royal rip off and not in keeping with the software provider I have learned to trust. I bought a product assuming I was getting the full software. When asked to log into your website I was told that I could apply for membership to unlock additional games including other game levels. However after completing 1/6 of the game I bought my daughter finds herself locked out of additional areas. This is bogus and deceptive at best. I will be looking into filing a complaint with the better business bureau. Nothing in the packaging, or online registration told me i would need to buy additional content for the game I purchased. I was contiplating a membership to possibly purchase additional titles for my older child to progress but I am seriously rethinking that position. I work in the electronics section of a major retailer who sells your products. I will no longer be recomending your product to my customers and I will be working with my manager to have your products pulled from all of our store shelves. I bought Jumpstart 3D trouble in town a 12 level interactive game for m child. What I have seen of the game is very impressive. However what I recieved in the package was not what the package claimed to be. What I got was a 2 level demo of a game that I had to pay money for.

We did our best to let customer’s know that Jumpstart world titles are basically subscription based titles. Most boxes have that explained on the inside front cover. The original CD has more content than we ever released in a game, even in the 4 CD packs. We wanted a game that could grow with the kids, and offer more content at a reasonable price tag, $7.99 a month.  For that price you get access to all of the units on the original purchase, plus the ability to download a play any of the other 3 virtual worlds, as well as access to all of the units on our beta games and jumpstart.com.

There was no way we could keep putting out CD games, as the stores already limit “educational software” store shelf space.

As with every title we sell, we stand behind them 100%. If you are not happy, send it back for a full refund.  Or email me direct at mike.bowman@adventure.com and I will see what I can do to make you happy.

How do I buy the extended units for a currently installed Kinderagrten Game?  All I can find is "log onto the NEW 3-D World".  Is that the only option?

What is the cost comparison?

Can two childeren work on the same $79.00 per year account?  Can they maintain two seperate identities?

Thank You

If you subscribed, and the next unit isn't opening or you keep seeing the message to go to the www site, you have two accounts working. You have to use the same email and password as you did when you originally installed the games or the subscription won't be linked to the correct account. The only way for me to tell is to have you email me direct at mike.bowman@adventure.com and I can look at the account.  Remember, you must finish both the super gem and the missions to move forward. Click on the communicator will tell you what step is next.

Hi, when you subscribe you need to download the games from manage account, downloads. The only online game we have is the BETA version. The others must be downloaded and installed.

You can have up to 6 users per game. We do not charge per game, or per users.

I too just discovered my children can not advance to level 3 without me purchasing a monthly membership.  This is ridiculous.  I work in the gaming industry.  If our company sold a game to the public with only a small portion of the content we would be out of business so quickly.  I can understand a downloadable purchase, but not purchasing a game and then asking me to buy a membership on top of that!!!

Two levels in a game that should have at least 12 levels available?  How is that even ethical.  I paid retail price of over $20, this is a reasonable price for a 12 level game.  It is an outrageous price for a game with two levels!!!!

Stores do not take back games that have been opened.  If it was possible for me to complain to the store I purchased it at I would but it is not their fault.  It is that of Jump Start.  I have been purchasing your products for many years.  I will not purchase any more.  I am sad to say this, b/c my children love your games.  Asking for a membership to continue is wrong.  I will not support your unethical behavior.  You lost a customer.

I do agree with alot of the comments here. I must admit that it is the best game for my Girls in Grade 1. But put this in perspective:

Jumpstart Grade one - 20 + 7.99 a month would be about 95 bucks. You say you will upgrade and offer future service but the kids grow out of it and have to move on to the next grade for about 80 bucks a year. So lets say 3 years of using your software will be about $260.00

High End Computer Video Game - aproximatly $ 60.00 with free upgrades and downloads and ulimited community and online multiplayer gaming for years to come.

I think Jumpstart is taking advantage of parents that will spend almost anything on their childern's education and to try to give them a headstart.

Because this is the best kids software I have seen I would think $30.00 would be reasonable. Please comment back, Jumpstart and the Consumer Protection Board

I agree with everyone. I got the game for my daughter and she went completely through the kindergarten. But when she went on to the 1st grade one it wouldn't work. First it wouldn't download it so i emailed and they sent me the disk thinking it was just trouble downloading the start of it since my kindergarten worked. When i got it it still didn't work and they said oh you have dial up we'll just send you the full disk with all the units i wasn't thrilled with this since i figured i would be missing something (hence the point of updating on the website might add something) But i did it anyway since it had been a month and my daughter really wanted to play and i figured something is better than nothing. Well i received the disk it wouldn't reg. on the website so it wouldn't start. I called and worked around that and my daughter started playing it. That was the first week of Jan. She played 2 units and it quit saying i needed to update on the website. Now this is supposed to be a fill disk with all the units why should i have to update on the website. They finally emailed me and said there was some mistake. I was supposed to have broadband and this wasn't a full disk. So we have had the 1st grade addition since about Dec. 1st and she hasn't been able to play it except a few days. doing units 1 and 2 of the game. What is this about. I did in fact look at the case it does say it needs broadband but not on the cover. On the inside, the part you don't have access to until after you buy the game. It's annoying and just want the game whatever way i can get it so my daughter can play the game. She loves it and asks nearly every day if it plays now. Her kindergarten still works and updates with no trouble so from time to times to messes around on it but realy wants to continue on on the 1st grade.

I also bought 2 versions of this game the 5-7 and the 2-4 of this game my dauthers both finished the level 2 i never saw on the game on the package that it was a trial game its just wrong in everyway now i have to make my kids upset when i tell them they can't play there game anymore which my oldest really loved to play. so i would like a refund for my 2 products of this game b/c i don't see any other way to make the customer happy with this product. At least with XBOX live they could play multiple games on line for cheaper than 7.99 a month and playstation is free and all games now have more content online then whats really in the game and its FREE So I also think I'm going to call BBB on Monday morning

I guess I am just the latest to be surprised that the CD only contains the first two levels. We gave this to our daughters (ages 4 & 7) for Christmas and they absolutely love it. I was very impressed with the game and was looking at purchasing additional games for them. Then today they finished level 2 and I discovered that we have to purchase a membership for them to continue. Neither the website I purchased from (Nothing by Software) nor the CD case indicated anywhere that this was a limited version and that it would require a fee based membership. Needless to say, we are all VERY disappointed.
